- Step 1: Press the green "On" button to power on the device and start voice prompts.
- Step 2: Locate the pads cartridge compartment on the front of the AED, and pull the release handle to open it.
- Step 3: Take out the new pads cartridge from its packaging, and remove any protective cover from the connector.
- Step 4: Insert the new cartridge firmly into the compartment until it clicks into place.
- Step 5: The AED will guide you with further instructions for use, including when and how to place the pads on the patient's chest.
