How to install AED Pads in Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator
Step 1: Tear open the packaging of the CPR-D-padz® electrode pads, ensuring they are ready for immediate use.
Step 2: Remove the backing from the electrode pads to expose the adhesive, being careful not to touch the sticky surface.
Step 3: Place the large, pre-connected pad on the victim's bare chest—position the top section under the right collarbone and the bottom section on the left side, below the rib cage.
Step 4: The CPR-D-padz® are pre-connected, but if disconnected, plug the pad connector into the AED. The Zoll AED Plus will automatically detect the pads.
Step 5: Once the pads are in place, follow the audio and visual prompts provided by the AED for further guidance, including CPR instructions if needed.

How to install AED Battery in Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator
Step 1: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the Zoll AED Plus and use a screwdriver or coin to open it by unscrewing the cover.
Step 2: The Zoll AED Plus uses 10 disposable lithium 123A batteries. Insert each battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) ends match the indicated markings inside the battery holder.
Step 3: Double-check the orientation of all 10 batteries to ensure they are placed correctly, as incorrect placement may prevent the device from functioning.
Step 4: Once all batteries are properly inserted, place the battery compartment cover back onto the unit and tighten the screws to secure it in place.
Step 5: Turn on the AED to verify that the batteries are working. The device will perform a self-check, and the status indicator should show that the AED is ready for use.
